I. Overview
Along with the increasingly improvement and spread of fly ash comprehensive utilization techniques, fly ash comprehensive utilization technique is no longer limited to the application in meeting the requirements of environmental protection, and great economic benefits of fly ash comprehensive utilization technique has been reflected. In the southeast coast of China and some developed areas, the supply of finished fine fly ash falls short of the market demand. At present, the fineness of raw fly ash discharged from many national coal-fired power plant varies generally between 20% ~ 50% (325 mesh sieve), which cannot reach the first-grade ash and second-grade ash requirements stipulated by the national standards (GB196-91). The power plants generally adopt fly ash dry separation technology to classify the raw ash into coarse ash and fine ash in order to get finished fine ash products, thus getting some economic benefit. However, the coarse ash classified (typically the value of fineness is 65%), has not been fully utilized. Generally speaking, it is discharged in situ or sold at a low price, and even becomes a burden to the enterprises. Employ fly ash ultra-fine grinder to grind the raw ash and the classified mixture consisting mainly of crude ash so that it will have a certain hydraulic activity, thus producing the high-grade ultra-fine ash blend which can formulate high-performance concrete. In this way, it can achieve the purpose of full utilization of fly ash and creating greater economic benefits.

The technique of using a ball mill to grind the powder has been applied in the cement industry for many years, so the technology is mature and the mill products have relatively serialized. By virtue of various principles and structures of super-fine high-yielding cement mill at home and abroad, Jiangsu Yinengda Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd cooperates with Department of Materials Science of Nanjing University of Technology, the most renowned institutions in the field of fly ash comprehensive utilization in China, and successfully developed the ball mill specially used for fly ash fine grinder. So the raw ash or the coarse ash discharged by the coal-fired power plant is ground finely and reaches the requirements of finished product ash fineness. Add a classifying equipment to the ball mill, and classify the fly ash ground by the ball mill, after classification, the coarse ash is returned to the ball mill for super-fine grinding in order to produce the high-grade blend ash (fine powder) which can be used for the preparation of high-performance concrete, thus greatly increasing the economic benefits of fly ash comprehensive utilization of and achieving the full comprehensive utilization of fly ash. 
II. Profile of the series of fly ash grinding system
1. Brief introduction to the flow of grinding system
JND series fly ash ultrafine ball mill system is mainly composed of raw ash cabin, auxiliary storage, screw feeder, electronic balance, fly ash ball mill, classifier, air box pulse bag dust catcher, induced draft fan, screw conveyor, bucket elevator, feeder and control system, etc..
The system takes fly ash directly from the raw material cabin, and after being fed by the screw feeder and weighed by the electronic balance, sends into the grinding head hoist through air conveyor flume, and the hoist feeds into the classifier for the classification before the grinding, after classification, the coarse ash is sent into the feed inlet of the mill through air conveyor flume for grinding, after being ground by the mill, the materials contain a large amount of fine ash, and then is fed into the classifier by the hoist again for classification. The fine ash classified is sent to the finished product ash warehouse through follow-up transportation equipment, the tail of the mill is equipped with a dust collection system for dust collection. By making use of such closed-circuit grinding technology, compared with open (no classifier) system, it can improve the output per machine hour by 30 to 40%, which is the ideal equipment for deep processing of grinding fly ash.

Work principle: YND series fly ash mill is composed of the feeding part, the cylinder part, the discharging part and other working parts as well as bearing housing, gears of different sizes, reducers, couplings and other transmission components, motors and electronic control parts, etc.

3. Transform ordinary ball mill into YND series fly ash grinder
The mill shell is generally divided into two cabins, aiming at the size composition and grindability of the fly ash or coarse ash and the mixture materials, transform the inner device of ball mill for the super-fine grinding of fly ash: Use YND series propeller-shaped double-layer screen partition panel produced by our company to transform the ball mill system, making it more suitable for closed-circuit production process of fly ash pulverization.

(I) Parameters of YND series propeller-shaped fly ash grinder double-layer screen partition panel:
⑴ comb plate, perforated guard plate:Casting Material: manganese-chromium alloy  comb joints: 5mm
⑵ Screen frame:Specially designed for fly ash grinder, made of imported wear-resistant steel;
⑶ sieve:Materials of stamping parts: δ3mm stainless steel   Sieve slit: 1.2 ~ 1.5mm
⑷ Standard parts: (Cylinder and connection bolts, nuts of the screen frame) vary according to the specifications of the mill.
II. Specific transformation measures:
⑴ Replace the original compartment plate with the fly ash double-layer screen partition panel, and the comb joint of compartment plate is 5mm while the seam of the middle stainless steel sieve is 1.2mm. In this way, it would effectively control the size of the particle entering into the second cabin, and speed up qualified particles of the first cabin to enter into the second cabin for high-efficiency grinding, thus reducing the over-grinding in the first cabin.
⑵ According to the grindability and water content of fly ash, determine the length of the first cabin of the grinder. Usually equip the first cabin with the steel ball of φ20 ~ φ50 while use φ8~φ16 steel forging of small size for the second cabin. The forging surface is relative large, so it can conduct high-efficiency grinding for small particles. At the same time, reduce the diameter of the grinder to decrease the flow speed of materials inside the grinder and increase the time for materials staying inside the grinder to strengthen the grinding.
⑶ Add active liner to the last cabin of the grinder, which can effectively slow down the flow rate of the material inside the mill, at the same time, the grinding function of the small forging is enhanced and the ratio surface area of the product is increased.
⑷ The discharge comb plate at the end of the mill is the special discharging comb plate with small gaps of 5mm (which can transform on the original basis). Adjust the diameter of the material-raising plate to control the flow rate of materials discharging from the mill. The anti-end face of double-layer partition panel adopts the guard board with a ventilation sew, which can not only protect the stainless steel sieve from abrasion by the grinder but also improve the ventilation inside the mill, thus promoting the qualified powder to be discharged in time from the mill and reducing the phenomenon of excessive grinding.
⑸ Select the appropriate ventilation rate inside the grinder, and the suitable wind speed varies between 0.8 ~ 1.0m/s. Reduce the time of the qualified fine material staying in the mill to cause the fine powder and the heat generated by grinding to be discharged in a timely manner, thus improving grinding efficiency.
⑹ The discharging outlet at the end of the mill needs to be equipped with additional wind flap locking device and the wind locking device should be flexible.
Generally, adopt the process of enclosing flow, which can significantly improve the output per machine hour of the system and reduce the power consumption per unit product, thus reducing production costs. The mill uses pulse bag filter to remove dust, while the fan motor adopts frequency control to adjust the speed inside the mill and control material flow rate and fineness.
III. Installation Instructions
1. Foundation installation instructions 
(1) This kind of mill must be installed on the dry and firm reinforced concrete foundation.
(2) There should be no noticeable tilt and sink. If there is a little sink, it should be balanced and level, otherwise it can not be installed.
(3) The foundation of these mills should be high enough above and the ground plane to facilitate the replacement of the liner and grinding media.
(4) You may refer to our company's foundation drawing for the foundation design. However, the drawing can not be directly used as the construction work plan of the foundation.
2. Preparations before the installation 
(1) Before installing, the protective materials and anti-rust oil on the processing work surface of all the parts and components as well as the dust and dirt dropped on them in the course of transportation must be removed.
(2) Check the processing work surface and thread, and the defects generated in the process of shipping and handling should be eliminated.
(3) Assembled parts should be carefully checked, if it is found that certain parts are damaged or lost during transport and storage, the defective parts must be repaired or replaced while the missing parts should be added.
(4) When installing, the processing surface of the contact and connection of parts should be lubricated. Use dry oil for the fixed surface while use thin oil for active surface.
(5) Before the installation, all ducts and pits on the foundation should be cleaned and the surface of the cement casted finally should be kept free of oil stains.
(6) When installing, protect the friction surfaces, and do not use cotton yarn or dirty oil to scrub. Use special guard board and clean canvas to cover the processing surface of the parts getting dirty easily.
