I. Overview of YNDWD Type ESP
YNDWD type electrostatic precipitator is the product of a new generation developed by our company through introducing and understanding advanced technology at home and abroad and summing up the running experience of many devices, which has a series of advantages of high dust collection efficiency, large exhaust gas handling capacity, ability to withstand high temperature, moderate amount of steel consumption, long service life, low repair rate, etc. It is widely used in waste gas management and material recovery of electric power, metallurgy, chemicals, building materials and other industries.
Conditions of Use:
1. Smoke volume processed: unlimited
2. The maximum inlet dust concentration: 1000g/Nm3
3. Outlet exhaust concentration: 20-100mg/Nm3
4. Smoke inlet temperature: <400℃(instant 450℃)
5. Pressure able to withstand: ±10kPa
II. Working principle of Model YNDWD electrostatic precipitator
Working principle:
ESP is a kind of device by applying high voltage electrostatic principle to make the dust in smoke gas charged and adsorbed on the electrode plate so as to purify the exhaust gas, and its main work process includes:
1. The power supply of high voltage generates electric corona through the anode and cathode and makes the gas ionized to produce anions and cations;
2. The anion and cation are adsorbed to the dust particles floating in the air and make them charged;
3. The charged dust under the effect of the electric field force moves towards the different pole;
4. The dust precipitates on the electrode;
5. Shake the electrode with the shaking device to make the dust layer on the electrode drop off and fall into the ash bucket, and the ash transporting device will send the collected ash away, thus completing the whole process of exhaust gas purification.
III. Adjustment and commissioning of YNDWD Type ESP
(I) The adjustment of the equipment
Before the equipment is installed completely and puts into production, the mechanic and electric parts should be adjusted to ensure safe and normal operation.
(II) The commissioning of the equipment
1. In order to ensure the reliability of the equipment operation, after the equipment is completed the installation and adjustment and before it is formally put into production, or after the equipment has not been used for long and before it is used again, the equipment must be commissioned before putting into production.
2. The procedure of commissioning equipment
(1) When commissioning, need an experienced engineer as the commander, and develop inspection programs in accordance with the provisions of this section. Keep strict on-site records, and designate a person to register. During shipment, in order to prevent the parts from being damaged caused by moisture condensation in the exhaust gas or no proper check, the following main checking must be done:
1) Check and determine that all examination and adjustment programs have been carried out and solved properly.
2) Close and lock the doors of all insulation cans.
3) Lock the manhole door and insert the safety interlock.
4) Checking the starting situations of the doors at exhaust gas inlet and outlet, and check whether the manual and electric way works flexibly.     
5) Check whether the alarm device on electrical control panel works well or not, and you can press each button labeled "Test" on the control panel to simulate the alarm.        
6) Check whether the voltage of power supply network is correct or not.
7) Make sure that all people have left the inside of ESP and other high-voltage dangerous areas.
(2) Verify that all programs work normal after the device has been commissioned, and then proceed to of the following operations.
1) Start the electric heater of all insulator rooms.
2) Start the shaking motor and ash discharging motor in turn one by one, and monitor the situations of the various links, with them running half an hour.
3) Remove the ground component of high-voltage parts, and open the circuit between the anode and cathode.
4) Close and lock the high-voltage isolation switches of all power supply units, and keep them in a working position.
(3) Close the automatic voltage regulation system when supplying power, and observe the increase of no-load power voltage.
(4) If there is the need to observe the corona flashover situation in the electric field, the person responsible should organize personally outside of the manhole door  and pay particular attention to safety.
(5) Keep records of the changes of the primary and secondary voltage, current values. No-load current is connected with the humidity of the air at that time, so pay attention to equipment capacity, voltage and current values when conducting no-load commissioning.
(6) After no-load commissioning, analyze the situations and eliminate all the failures occurred during the commissioning.
(7) Draw the volt-ampere characteristics curves of all electric field. Mark the voltages on the coordinate paper every time the current increases by a certain value until the current reaches the rated value, then connect these points together into form a curve, i.e. the “the volt-ampere characteristics curve”, which can act as the reference for installation quality inspection and volt-ampere characteristics after inspection and repair each time in future.
(8) After temperature in the electric field is higher than the gas dew point, transmit power to the electric field and put into high voltage, and observe the working situations of the voltage and current self-control systems. At that time, the current is greatly reduced than there is no load, and the voltage also decreases. Adjust the spark frequency according to the actual conditions, and find the right spark rate in the actual operation.
(9) Keep records of the primary and secondary voltage and current values with load.
(10) Use the same method to draw the volt-ampere characteristics curve with load and analyze it.
(11) Re-examine the air leakage situations at the shell and doors, etc.
(12) Stop the machine according to the steps required.
(13) Check whether there are the rapid accumulation of dust and damages on both sides of the insulation porcelain bushing, electric ceramic shaft, air distribution plates, etc.
(14) Eliminate all the failures occurred during the commissioning with load.
